Travis Kelce Is Good to Go for Denver, and the Chiefs Offense Gets Its Safety Valve Back
Chiefs Kingdom, exhale. The ankle scare from Thursday is over, and No. 87 is on track for Denver.
Our Take: Kelce at less than 100 percent is still a problem for defenses, and having him plus Rashee Rice available for a road rematch with the Broncos is the best news Kansas City could get.
The Chiefs' official Friday injury report shows Kelce (ankle) as a full participant with no game status after a limited practice Thursday. Rashee Rice (hamstring/knee) also went full Friday with no designation, and Patrick Mahomes (knee) practiced fully all week. L'Jarius Sneed (knee) and Mansoor Delane (shoulder) are questionable, R Mason Thomas is questionable for personal reasons, and Omarr Norman-Lott (knee) is out.
CBS Sports notes Kelce has been dealing with the ankle for a couple of weeks, played through it at Seattle with four catches for 44 yards on eight targets, and hasn't scored since Week 3.
What to watch: Third downs in Denver. Denver won't make it easy, and the offense may need long drives, and that is where Kelce has always been at his best. A Kelce touchdown would be a nice way to end that drought.
